Leitz is focused on the development and manufacturing of high precision Coordinate Measuring Machines and Gear Testers. The Leitz CMMs cover all measuring ranges, from standard to very large scale machines with strokes of 8,000 x 3,850 x 3,700 mm.
From the tiny gears of a mechanical wrist watch to a large diesel engine or even a whole satellite, parts of any size are measured on Leitz Coordinate Measuring Machines with maximum precision.
Together with PC-DMIS or QUINDOS software, standard parts and those with special geometries such as spiral bevel gears, worms, step gears, etc. can be measured and evaluated. Leitz Gear Measuring Technology turns coordinate measuring machines into high throughput gear testers.
Easily measure complex geometries.
The ultra high precision Leitz Coordinate Measuring Machines and Gear Checkers in the PMM-C series bridge the gap between traditional coordinate measuring machines and gantries. The PMM-C series includes the PMM-C Infinity - the most accurate CMM that Leitz has produced with 0.3 micron accuracy and 0.1 micron repeatability.
The PMM-C series is suited for rapid inspection of basic and special geometries. Special geometries consisting of gears, optical lense, camshafts, worms, screw compressors, etc are easily measured. The system is capable of fast and precise inspection of any type of gear including gear cutting tools up to 1550 mm in diameter.
Form inspection is fast and easy using Leitz 3D probe technology, integrated with high-speed scanning capability, for rapid collection of large numbers of data points with many filtering options available.
High speed and precision for the Shop Floor.
The PMM-F is designed for fast inspection within a harsh production environment eliminating the requirement for air conditioned housing or special foundation. Its design technology maintains accuracy specifications within a large temperature range from 15°C - 30°C.
Its high throughput rating, facilitates process control within production lines. Ideal for engine block or gear box measurement applications, the PMM-F coupled with Leitz's probe head technology can be used in either single point probing or high speed scanning operations.
The largest high precision 3D coordinate measuring machine in the world.
With the size of a gantry and the accuracy of a CMM, the PMM-G combines the best of both worlds for oversized measuring tasks. Typical parts measured on Leitz PMM-G measuring machines include large diesel engines, jet engine components, large gears and gear cutting tools, aircraft wing structures, columns of printing machines, satellites, large machine tool parts and several windpower components.
Despite large measuring strokes, the PMM-G reaches a precision and performance level which is usually common with much smaller CMMs. When tolerances must be within a few 1/1000ths of a mm, the PMM-G is the right choice.

The Reference coordinate measuring machine provides precise, fast and versatile inspection. It's perfect for basic geometries, (i.e. cylinder heads, engine blocks, gear boxes etc.) as well as special geometries, such as gears, pistons, worms, screw compressors and many more. Reference is a strong powertrain solution.

Built for the unforgiving shop floor environment, Sirio does not require an air conditioned housing. Twenty eight integrated temperature sensors compensate thermal machine distortions in real time. Due to this unique technology, the Sirio keeps its accuracy specifications within a large temperature range of 15 - 40°C.
Sirio 3D Measuring Machine with its high throughput rating, facilitates process control. Constant monitoring of parts in the production process ensures efficiency throughout the line. Sirio allows complex workpieces such as engine blocks or gear boxes to be accurately inspected and evaluated on the spot.
